M.U.M. - Mothers Uniting Mothers events: Spokane's M.U.M. event will be held at the Women's Club and will immediately follow the "Activating Hope" event. Come join the Spokane International Women's Day Coalition in their celebration of women's achievements and stay to join in the Mothers Uniting Mothers event!
Other events celebrating International Women's Day: "Activating Hope" - Spokane International Women's Day Coalition, March 8, 3-5 p.m., Women's Club (Corner of Walnut and 9th). Opening remarks: Mayor Mary Verner. Reader’s Theatre: WOMANSPEAK by Gloria Goldsmith, coordinated by Anne Marie Burke. Learn about global and local groups that work towards hope. Presentation of the Bella Abzug Award.
Other Activities Include:
Candle light vigil (Mothers Uniting Mothers - M.U.M.)
Music and entertainment
Door prizes
